The AMBC Cross Country Marathon (XCM) events are races where duos or solo competitors challenge themselves to complete as many laps of an extended cross country course over a 4 hour period. The winner is the competitor or duo that completes the most laps. Total race time is used to rank riders who complete an equal number of laps. Laps completed after the finish time limit will not be counted.

Based in some of the most beautiful country the Eyre Peninsula has to offer, on a combination of the most technical but flowing sections of trail we could find, the Wild Dog mountain bike race in Whyalla, South Australia, is one for your calendar. The Sunday 3hr Wild Dog Enduro offers three different length events and includes the Long Course (12km), Short Course (7.5km) and Kids (1km). Race as hard or as easy as you like. No new laps can start after the 3 hour limit. Seasoned riders will grind and race all day however feel free to take your time, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the unique outback scenery.

This road, track, and trail tour starts and finishes in Port Augusta and showcases some of South Australia’s most rewarding experiences along the way.  Route options are available for roadies, gravelleurs and mountain bikers. The main route is on sealed roads however, on most days there will be the opportunity for you to get off the bitumen and ride the rough stuff.
