If you haven’t yet seen the Onkaparinga Gorge, now is the time! It is an extremely picturesque area, in part reminiscent of the Flinders Ranges with its folded rocks and gorgeous gum trees. There will be carpets of wildflowers to ooh and aah over, the river is stunning for those who venture down to the water, and there are even multiple waterholes to swim in if the navigation gets too hard… (or maybe that’s part of the navigation…)

The Heysen Trail is an iconic marvel run along a variety of trails from the Flinders Ranges to Cape Jervis, 1200 kilometres in length. The variety of trails under foot vary and the Heysen 105 takes in some of the best countryside along the Fluerieu Peninsula. Paddocks, country roads, pine forests, beaches the infamous Yultie and Myponga hilly single tracks.

TRSA On the Trails Race 5: Mt Bold

Run around the beautiful Mount Bold Reservoir Reserve and enjoy the tranquility, scenery and local wildlife. You’ll travel through stringybark and manna gum woodlands, swamps and creeks.

ROAR Barossa Adventure Race

The forest and lake course offers three distances for the event so that as many people/competitors can take part independent of their level of fitness.

The Cave Run

Held for the first time in 2019, this is an event that is gaining real traction with trail runners and also links the township of Naracoorte with the World Heritage Naracoorte Caves and its walking trails. Through local businesses’ support, we hope that people come for the run/hike but stay for the Naracoorte hospitality.
